UNIDENTIFIED PHOTO # 36

Can you identify anyone in this c. 1900 photo that has ended up in Vernon County? The photo itself is glued to heavier card-stock. Overall dimensions are 5” x 5”.

Everyone is dressed quite stylishly—note the tight high neck, bouffant sleeves, tight arms, and tight waists of the younger women’s dresses…and the hats!

This could possibly be a family unit with an older father (standing center back), older mother (seated), five adult daughters, and six children...OR...it could be an older couple and their eleven children!

The backdrop may be a tent—note the guy wire anchor and rope/wire on the left side of the picture.

Please email the County Coordinator (email address below) if you can identify anyone in the photo.
