I am trying to locate the parents and siblings for James M. Brown. He was born in Randolph County, Missouri in about 1843. He fought in the Civil War 1864 to 1865. After his marriage to Nancy George in 1866 he lived most of his life in Johnson County. The family moved to Vernon County in 1880. He was a farmer and lived near Metz in Vernon County, Missouri. They lived across the road from a family who also were farmers named Crenshaw. ( C.H.and Virginia Crenshaw ) James was married to Nancy George. They had a total of seven children. He died in Vernon County in 1881 at age 39 and is buried in Pryor Creek Cemetery near Metz. His wife and children moved to Montana after his death. Thanking you in advance for any information on either the Brown family or the Crenshaw family.
