We would appreciate help in finding information about g-g-grandparents, Barney & Elizabeth Riley who are said to have lived in Vernon County, MO from 1895 on. Barney was born 1824 in Ohio. His wife Elizabeth Nation was born 1832 in Indiana. They removed from Linn Co. Iowa to Linn Co. Missouri sometime around 1877; are shown there on the 1880 census then according to their daughter Mary Ann Riley Smith's obituary, they moved to Platte County, MO, then onto Moundsville, Vernon Co. MO by 1895. I am including Mary Ann's obituary here for your information. As it documents, Mary Ann Riley Smith lived the rest of her life in Nevada, MO. Any information about whether Barney & Elizabeth Riley are buried in Vernon County, would be greatly appreciated.
