Joseph Thomas "Tom" or "Kelly" Madding came from Lincoln Co., MO to Vernon Co. about 1900 with his wife Martha Ann "Mattie" (her maiden name is somewhat mysterious and may have been either Grimes or more likely Presley). The settled in Walker and had 9 children: Charles W., Alvin, Joseph Walter, Ora & Ada (twins), Luther C, Thomas Emmett, Ruth, and Nell.
I would be willing to share what information I have regarding this family and am very interested in learning more. If you know anything about this family, or their cousins, the Capps, who came to Vernon Co. from Lincoln Co. about the same time, I would be very interested in hearing from you.
