My main interest is in the son Chester Snider.
He is unmarried in this census, but his family Bible shows he married 6 Dec 1961 to Elizabeth Pickard. Unable to find out if they married in Vernon County? Does anyone have marriage records in nearby counties?
Are the Pickard families listed in the census for 1860 or other years? I do not know who her parents are.
Appreciate any thing at all on Pickard or Snider.

Trying to locate a Kate Baker(?) and child in Nevada, MO in 1888, Beulah Baker/Miller. I have a letter from 1888 regarding them, and a George Miller:
Letter to Charles W. Baker, Alton, Illinois
Bartlesville, I.T. August 19, 1888
Wed.
Dr. Sir,
I recieved a letter from Nell yesterday giving me a complete history of Kate and Geo Millers, proceeding before they left Nevada.
They are living here now with Frank and his family. I would have nothing to do with them, as sinners I suspicioned them and then he sent for Frank and family knowing that he had become so digraded (?) that he should work with him as he pleased.
I understand Miller and Kate occupies the same room every night and it would be no trouble to prove it. I intend to have them put off
Page 2
the reservation or if they don't go when notified they will have to answer for their crime at the U.S. Court at Ft. Smith, Arkansas.
I am determined they shall leave here let it comewhat it may. I will not have them around me that is a sure thing.
Nell advised me to write to you and advise you to come and get Beulah, for it is a shame to have her grow up in disgrace for she is a sweet child and as smart as can be and you are the proper one to have her. If you come after her you had better bring an officer with you as there maybe not be one handy here when you come.
Page 3
I think the sooner you act - the better it will be for if they fly from here there is no telling where they will go.
Yours Respy,
Geo H. Schroeder
My notes: Indian Territory was Oklahoma and there is a Bartlesville, Ok.
Could it be Idaho Territory?
