William L. Permenter was b.27 July 1869 in Vernon Co.,Missouri. Left Missouri when his mother died,he was 14yrs old. Do not know anything about his parents or siblings. His mother died 1883-84. William Permenter went to Idaho,married Emma O. Carr in 1907.

Wilson and William Maddox are found in the History of Vernon Co. involved in skirmishes at Montevello but it does not indicate any company or regiments.

Would like to exchange information about Michael SHIVELY, son of John SHIVELY and Anna MELIZA. All I know is that he was born 16 April 1847 in Indiana. I am trying to locate the parents and siblings
for James M. Brown. He was born in Randolph County but he lived most of his life in Johnson and Vernon
Counties. He was a farmer and lived in the northern
area of Vernon County. They lived across the road
from a family who farmed named Crenshaw.
( C.H.and Virginia Crenshaw ) James was married to Nancy George. They had a total of seven children. He died in Vernon County in 1881 at age 39 and is buried in Pryor Creek Cemetery near Metz.
His wife and children moved to Montana after his
