John W. W. Caton, son of Hugh M. and Nancy Ann (Harvey) Caton, was born April 1, 1860, in Vernon County, MO. This picture shows John with his wife, Jane L. Davenport (Jennie), whom he married January 1, 1882 in Vernon County, and the first five of ten children born to them: Harry L. Anna Maggie William Clarence (later to be known as Curly) Ross Myron
Other children born to this family were Ray W. (twin) Roy J. (twin) Opal G. Arthur E. Merl
John and his young family moved to the Enid area of Garfield County, Oklahoma about 1900.
